Yow Ez wats up man how's it going? Nice pics but you cant just focus on 2 boroughs because ur missing out on alot of graff check out the 7 train line in queens for some nice graff.
thanks for your comment - you're totally correct. I'm currently out of NY for an extended period, but when I return I will definitly be venturing outside my usual domain.
EZ- I am trying to get in touch with someone from the Kings of NY website, looks like it is down or somnething. I run an online toy shop in NYC, Tenacious Toys. Someone from KoNY contacted me a little while ago so I threw a link up to their site on our site. Anyway, I am looking for any graf artist to design a new logo for our site, we don't have much cash to spend but we'd happily give props to whoever designs it for the rest of time on our website with links & a little profile or whatever's appropriate. We're just looking for nice peice that says TENACIOUS TOYS, as funky or crazy as it can get, bubble letters or something more modern, really we'd consider anything, B&W, color whatever. We can even take a paper mailed to us and scan it in, if it's easier to do it with sharpies than on a computer. Any help in the right direction would be much appreciated. -Benny, Tenacious Toys
If anyone's interested in writing a logo for 'Tenacious Toys' then you can contact that Benny guy somewhere in here: http://www.tenacioustoys.com/ (I'm not sure what his contact details are). It's for a store that sells realtoys - furry toys and teddy bears for kids.
LOL Thanks EZ! Actually we sell urban vinyl toys, some of which have paint designed by graf artists (MAD, Sket, MIST, SEEN, etc etc) and other artists like tokidoki, Frank Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, Luke Chueh...
I travel throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn photographing graffiti. I’m fascinated by this art form. It's outside the galleries: uncontrolled, often ugly, but always urban, interesting and new. I just wander throughout this great city on foot, in buses, and by subway waiting to stumble upon some graffiti I haven’t yet seen. When I spot something that looks interesting, I snap it on my camera. Along the way I listen to music, eat food, talk to people, sit on the pavement, read books, draw tattoos on my arms, and do whatever else comes along. At the end of the day I upload my photos onto this blog, and write comments about the work. I’m hoping the blog and my photos will add up to an interesting site about current New York grafitti and street art.
